GET CONNECTED WITH LIFE GROUPS
Life Groups are designed to meet your needs as a student of the Bible and also provide an opportunity for you to get connected to the church through group members. Checkout the list to the right for your group info. If you’re new, pick one and jump in! All of our groups welcome new members. Life Groups meet on Sundays at 9 AM here at the church, but they are free to meet whenever and wherever (hence “Life” Group).
SUBSCRIBE NOW- A STUDY OF JESUS' EARLY LIFE AND MINISTRY
This will be our new Midweek series, starting on January 5th and will last through the month. Below is a sneak peek of some of the lessons:
-Jesus Comes to the World (John 1)
-Jesus is Baptized (Mark 1)
-Jesus calls Philip & Nathaniel (John 1)
-Jesus Calls Andrew & Peter (Mark 1)
-Jesus Removes an Evil Spirit (Mark 1)
Two new studies are being offered at the church. “Stepping Up: A Call to Courageous Manhood,” a study by Dennis Rainey, will be led by Dr. Kelly Jones in the Old Fellowship Hall and will be 10 sessions. “Get Out of Your Head,” a study by Jennie Allen, will be led by Lisa Brown and Barbie Johnson. This study will be 6 sessions and the class will meet in Room #159. These classes will meet weekly on Wednesdays starting January 5 at 6 PM. There is no cost for either study.
Men-- come and join us on Sunday morning, January 9th, at 7:30AM for a time of food and “fellership” in the Fellowship Hall.

KIDS AND WORSHIP CHOIR RESUMES JANUARY 12
Kids and Worship Choir will resume practices on Wednesday,
January 12. Kids will meet at 5 PM for a light meal in the Fellowship Hall, and then practice from 5:15-6 PM in the Choir Room. The Worship Choir will practice each Wednesday at 6 PM. There is no sign up required. Whether you sing, play an instrument, want to help with Kids Choir, or are interested in joining our audio/visual team, there is a place for you. Contact Pastor Ron for more information.
"STATE OF THE STUDENTS" ADDRESS
On January 12th, there will be a “State of the Students” that will be delivered to our Students during Midweek. Pastor Luke will talk about what has happened in the past year and where we want to be as a student ministry a year from now. Students are encouraged to attend and this “Address” will even be livestreamed for the parents that would like to watch it later.
SENIOR ADULT SAFETY CLASS
On January 20, a Safety Class for our Senior Adults will be offered and led by Monticello Police Chief, Jason Akers. This class will be held from 10AM-1PM in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch will be provided.

Make plans now to attend our “The Art of Marriage” retreat February 25-27, 2022. at Camp Paron. This will be a great weekend for marriages at every stage. More information to come!

JOB OPENING - CHURCH FINANCIAL ADMINISTRATOR
We are currently seeking applicants for our financial administrator position. We are thankful to Joan Jones, who has held this role for the past few years. She will remain on staff until the position is filled, and will be available to train whoever takes over. This is a full-time position within the church support staff. The primary job responsibilities include handling church offerings, balancing expenses and receipts, compiling financial reports, reconciling bank statements, maintaining contribution records, processing payroll, and other administrative duties.
