worship ministry

Worship is us giving an awesome, perfect God all of our praise. We worship with our lives, in spirit, and in truth. John 4:24 says "God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth."

The Worship Ministry, led by Bro. Ron Paul, includes our Adult Choir, Kid's Choir, Worship Band, and Media Team.

worship choir

The purpose of the Worship Choir is to lead the congregation to a place of worship through song, to serve as a small-group within the church for faith formation, and to sing beautiful and challenging music to glorify God and to edify the congregation.

The Praise Team is another component that is made up of Worship Choir members who step out in leadership, both during the worship service and in rehearsal.

The Worship Choir, led by Bro. Ron Paul, meets on Wednesdays at 6:00pm in the Choir Suite.

If you have a gift for singing, or if you just like to "make a joyful noise unto the Lord", and would like to participate in the Worship Choir, please call or email Bro. Ron Paul.

FBC Kid's choir

Children learn by watching the role models in their lives, but they also learn by participating.  Providing a children’s choir in which they can learn, grow, move, and serve in God’s kingdom is an important way to accomplish spiritual growth in each child’s life.

Proverbs 22:6 says, “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”  Involving kids in worship ministry early can keep them involved as teenagers, and then continue on into adulthood.  A children’s choir can be an invaluable tool to train children up to be lifelong worshippers and can also be a way to bless the congregation.

FBC Kid's Choir, led by Cara Akin, meets on Wednesdays at 5:00pm in the Choir Suite.

Worship Band

In Psalm 150, perhaps the best known passage in scripture about instruments, we are instructed to use them to give God the praise He alone is due.  Our Worship Band, made up of a variety of instruments, is an integral part of the worship experience.

If you have a talent for music, and would like to be a part of our Worship Band (even occasionally), call or email Bro. Ron Paul

media team

We know that faith comes from hearing and believe that spoken word and song are two of the most important tools for a church service. It is our goal as a media team to provide clear and intelligible sound that is transparent and distraction-free to the listener.

Our role is to have a heart for God, eyes for video, and an ear for sound. If you have a talent for running sound, media, or video during worship (or if you'd like to learn), call or email Bro. Ron Paul.
