Throughout the month of May, we will continue to have one Worship service starting at 10 AM on Sunday mornings following Life Groups for all ages at 9 AM. Our 10 AM Worship services will be broadcast live on our
YouTube channel HERE.
MAY PREACHING SCHEDULE
During the month of May, we welcome back to the pulpit Dr. Kelly Jones, who will be preaching a series called “You and Your Household” emphasizing how to model the gospel in our homes. Dr. Jones will be our guest preacher for all Sundays in May, except May 16. Bro. CJ Womack will be our guest preacher for that Sunday.
CHILDCARE IS BACK
Childcare is now offered during our Life Group and Worship times. Childcare during our Worship services is for kids in preschool and younger. There are three different rooms for childcare. The babies room and the room for walking 1s and 2s are located near the South building entrance. The room for 3s-5s is located in the hallway near the church office. Our greeters will be glad to point you in the right direction. Thank you to the volunteers that have stepped up to make it possible for us to bring this ministry back. If you would like to be added to the rotation, please contact Pastor Kevin.
NEW CHECK-IN SYSTEM IN PLACE FOR KIDS
Starting in May, we ask that all children in fifth grade and younger please be checked in when arriving for Sunday morning Life Groups and for those in Childcare during Worship. We have a new system in place, so please bear with us as we work out the kinks. Bro. Kevin will be around during check-in time to help with any issues.
ONLINE MIDWEEK CONTINUES
Our online Midweek sessions will continue through the month of May. Pastor Kevin Henry leads our kids, and Bro. CJ Womack leads our students in Bible-centered studies with practical ways of living our lives on mission. Videos air each Wednesday (5 & 6 PM) on Facebook and YouTube, and are archived HERE to watch at a later time. Although these sessions are targeted to a younger audience, this is a great resource for all ages.
MAY MISSIONS MOMENT
Each first Sunday of the month, we are taking time to highlight one of the mission areas of our church. In April, we highlighted Feed the Kids. In May, we will be focusing on Rahab’s Hope. To find out more, join us on May 2 during our 10 AM Worship Service.
MOTHER’S DAY & BABY DEDICATION
Mother’s Day is on Sunday, May 9 this year, and to celebrate the day, we will have a time when we will dedicate the new babies in our church to the Lord’s service. This will be during our 10 AM Worship Service.
SERVE MONTICELLO COMING UP
Join us Saturday, May 15 for a city-wide missions day. Serve Monticello is a great opportunity to serve our city together as a church family. There will be things to do for all ages. We will meet at the church at 8:30 AM, divide into teams, go out into the community for various projects, and return to the church for lunch at noon. There is a sign-up sheet outside the Choir Room, or you can sign up online HERE.
CHURCH T-SHIRTS FOR SALE
We are once again selling our official church T-shirts for $15. They are available in grey and white, in youth and adult sizes. There are order envelopes available at the church. You can also pay online by clicking on the gray "Give" circle icon at the bottom right of this screen. Select “Other” and use the memo feature with color, sizes, and quantity. Deadline to order is May 2. Shirts will be available to wear during our Serve Monticello event on May 15.
SENIOR SUNDAY – MAY 16
On Sunday, May 16, we will recognize and celebrate our high school and college graduates during our 10 AM Worship Service.
FBC FAMILY FEST SET FOR MAY 23
It’s been a while since we’ve been able to fellowship together as a church family, so let’s change that with what we’re calling the FBC Family Fest on Sunday, May 23 from 5-6:30 PM at the Monticello City Park (McCloy Park). This will be a picnic-style event with plenty of food, games for children and youth, and other activities catered to the whole family. Kids up through fifth grade should be accompanied by their parents/guardians.
SAVE THE DATE FOR VBS
We have set the dates for Vacation Bible School for this upcoming summer with hopes that we can resume in-person ministries in addition to Worship services by then. This year’s VBS will be July 11-15, so mark those dates on your respective calendars for your kids in fifth grade and younger. We will also need plenty of volunteers. VBS will be held nightly throughout the week. It is free and open to kids from all over Southeast Arkansas. Contact Pastor Kevin for more information.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SUNDAY MORNINGS
As our attendance continues to increase, we are needing more volunteers for Sunday mornings. Ministry areas needed include childcare, first impressions, audio/visual, security, and more. If you are needing a place
to get plugged into the church, please pray about which area you feel called to. Click HERE for more
information, or contact one of our church staff members.

PRAY FOR OUR PASTOR SEARCH TEAM
Please keep our Senior Pastor Search Team in your daily prayers. The team meets on a weekly basis, working hard to find the man that God has called to lead our church. Pray for team unity, spiritual strength, wisdom, endurance, and pray for them by name. Our team consists of Paula Atwell, Casey Braswell, Truman Hamilton, Kimber Knight, Scott Lane, Steve Pigott, and Les Reid.
HEALTH & SAFETY GUIDELINES
We are aware that positive cases of COVID-19 are decreasing, which is great! The church no longer requires the use of face masks while on campus grounds. However, please continue to practice social distancing as much as possible. During Worship, please sit in available rows only. We hope to be able to remove the tape soon. We have not resumed all campus activities yet, but we look forward to the date when it is safe to do so.
