With the exception of Easter Sunday, we will continue to have one Worship service through the month of April starting at 10 AM on Sunday mornings following Life Groups for all ages at 9 AM. Our 10 AM Worship services will be broadcast live on our YouTube channel.
APRIL PREACHING SCHEDULE
We are glad to have Jeremy Woodall back with us through the month of April. Jeremy will be preaching our Easter message on April 4, and will then lead us through a series about spiritual disciplines over the final three Sundays of the month.
We hope you can join us on Easter Sunday, April 4, to worship and celebrate our risen King. We will change our normal Sunday schedule for that day only. There will be services at 9 and 11 AM, and we will not have Life Groups on that Sunday. Our 9 AM service will be broadcast live on YouTube, and we will offer childcare during that service only for kids up through preschool age. If you choose to attend the 11 AM Easter service, we encourage you to bring the kids and worship together as a family.
CHILDCARE IS BACK
Childcare is coming back starting on Easter Sunday. On Easter, childcare will be available during the 9 AM service only, and on Sundays thereafter, childcare will be offered during our 10 AM Worship service, in addition to Life Groups. This is for kids in preschool and younger. There are three different rooms for childcare. The babies room and the room for walking 1s and 2s are located near the South building entrance. The room for 3s-5s is located in the hallway near the church office. Our greeters will be glad to point you in the right direction. Thank you to the volunteers that have stepped up to make it possible for us to bring this ministry back. If you would like to be added to the rotation, please contact Pastor Kevin.
ONLINE MIDWEEK CONTINUES
Our online Midweek sessions will continue through the month of April. Pastor Kevin Henry leads our kids, and Bro. CJ Womack leads our students in Bible-centered studies with practical ways of living our lives on mission. Videos air each Wednesday (5 & 6 PM) on Facebook and YouTube, and are archived to watch at a later time. Although these sessions are targeted to a younger audience, this is a great resource for all ages.
ANNIE ARMSTRONG EASTER OFFERING
Thank you for your generosity through the month of March for the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering. We have surpassed our church goal of $4,000, which will benefit North American missions reaching hundreds of millions of people with the Gospel. There is still time to make a gift. You can give online here on our website by clicking on the gray "Give" icon in the bottom right hand corner of your screen, or you can give through envelopes at the church.
FEED THE KIDS
Our church is fortunate to be a supporting partner of the Feed the Kids program, which is a non-profit initiative that works with Monticello and Drew Central schools to supply meals for children who might not be getting enough food away from school. Our church will be participating once again in a Feed the Kids packing night on Wednesday, April 7 at the First Presbyterian Church in Monticello. The non-perishable food items are packed in bags and then dispersed by the schools for kids to eat at home. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Pastor Ron. Donations are also accepted at Feed the Kids, PO Box 842, Monticello, AR 71657.
You are invited to a pair of drive-through showers in the month of April. There will be a drive-through baby shower for Sara and Jeremy Thompson on Saturday, April 17 from 1-2:30 PM. Sara and Jeremy are registered at Babylist and locally at City Drug. The next day, Sunday, April 18, there will be a bridal shower for Summer Chase from 1-3:30 PM. Summer is registered at Target, Pottery Barn, Williams Sonoma, The Knot, and locally at Town & County Florist. Both showers will be held in the drive-through awning of the Multi-Ministry Center.
SERVE MONTICELLO SET FOR MAY 15
Save the date for Saturday, May 15 for a city-wide missions day. Serve Monticello is a great opportunity to serve our city together as a church family. There will be things to do for all ages. Plans are still being finalized, but we need you to be there to make it the best outreach event of the year. Be looking for more information in the coming weeks.
SAVE THE DATE FOR VBS
We have set the dates for Vacation Bible School for this upcoming summer with hopes that we can resume in-person ministries in addition to Worship services by then. This year’s VBS will be July 11-15, so mark those dates on your respective calendars for your kids in fifth grade and younger. We will also need plenty of volunteers. VBS will be held nightly throughout the week. It is free and open to kids from all over Southeast Arkansas. Contact Pastor Kevin for more information.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED FOR SUNDAY MORNINGS
As our attendance continues to increase, we are needing more volunteers for Sunday mornings. Ministry areas needed include childcare, first impressions, audio/visual, security, and more. If you are needing a place to get plugged into the church, please pray about which area you feel called to. Click here for more information, or contact one of our church staff members.
