CHURCH CONFERENCE SET FOR OCTOBER 17
Make plans to attend our church conference on Sunday, October 17 at 5 PM. Come hear what the Lord has been doing through our church while updates are given on ministry reports, finances, and other church business. We will also have a night of “old fashioned” hymn singing during the conference, so plan to join as we sing songs of our faith centered around heaven and our journey to the promised land.
TRUNK OR TREAT
Come join us for Fall Festival at McCloy Park this year on Sunday night, October 31st, from 4-6 PM. We will have a trunk or treat, games, free food and bounce houses. It will be a great time for the whole family! Our youth group will be handling the bounce house duties as well as games for the preschool. Adults can help in any area where we have a need. Please contact Pastor Kevin or Michele Henry if you would like to help. You will be done early enough if you would like to pass out candy in your neighborhood or take your kids to other areas to trick or treat.
OPERATION CHRISTMAS CHILD
Throughout the next month, we will be collecting boxes for Operation Christmas Child, which provides opportunities for the gospel to be shared all across the world through gifts for children in need. Supply lists and packing information can be found online at www.samaritanspurse.org/what-we-do/operation-christmas-child. Contact Joan Jones for more information. We are asking that you deliver completed boxes to the church by November 7. The church will have boxes available.
Join us Sunday, November 7, 2021, for a special time in the life of our church when we publicly set apart and ordain our Student Pastor, Luke Dawson, to the Gospel Ministry. This service will be a time for our entire church to celebrate and confirm God’s call on Luke’s life. An ordination council for all ordained men will be held at 4:30 that afternoon with the service to follow at 6:00 PM.
