FBC Monticello has taken and will continue to take appropriate measures to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 coronavirus within our church family, friends, visitors, and guests. A part of that is a decision to suspend all campus activities and in-person gatherings until further notice. However, we are a church regardless of where we meet. Below, you will find resources that will allow all of us to maintain our ministry efforts as we strive to Love, Equip, Go, and Send.
For now, we will have a Worship Service via Facebook Live every Sunday at 10 a.m. on the First Baptist Church Monticello page. That video will be available to watch later on Facebook, and we will also be posting video messages here on the church website. We will continue to upload messages to our podcast channels as well. We will also be posting message outlines and orders of worship here on our website.
Though we are not meeting in person, we encourage you to remain faithful in your tithes and offerings to contribute to the mission and ministries of the church. We have four different ways that giving can be done at this time.
- Secure Online Giving through your computer or smartphone. There are several options to choose from as to where your giving will be applied (Tithes & Offerings, Building Fund, Annie Armstrong, etc.)
- Text Giving: Send a text message with a dollar amount (e.g. "$50") to 870-860-7470. If it is your first time to give via text, you will be prompted to respond with your billing information.
- Give by Phone: Our church financial administrator can walk you through the giving process step-by-step by calling 870-367-3449 during normal business hours.
- Give by Mail: Mail your check to FBC Monticello, 413 North Main Street, Monticello, AR 71655

The FBC pastors will begin making home visits starting March 23. The plan is to check in each Monday to see if there are needs that need to be met and make sure that people know about what's going on right now at the church even though we aren't meeting in person. These will be short, doorstep meetings that will allow you to let us know how we can be praying for and ministering to you, and will also allow the pastors an opportunity to guide you with biblical truths in an unprecedented time.
The CDC has identified some members of our community as having a higher risk of getting very sick from this illness.
